The Full Story

About The Enchanted Forest

We started Enchanted Forest Alpacas as a way to enjoy our retirement, stay active mentally, physically, creatively, socially, and physically; and to pass on our farm and my knowledge of the fiber arts to my children and grandchildren.  Our hope is that our farm will stay in our family for many generations.  We chose Alpacas because they grow the luxurious "Fiber of the Gods" and are very kind to the earth.  Sustainability is very important to us.  We want to save the earth with luxury slow fashion, keep our farm in the family for future generations, and make our customers feel pampered and know their purchase is environmentally sound and healthy for them as well as the earth. We have a strong faith in God our Father, Jesus Christ our Brother and Savior, and and the Holy Spirit our helper.  God led us on this journey from watching an episode of FarmHer about a lady who started and Alpaca farm and Fiber Arts Business when she retired, through seeing every aspect of Enchanted Forest Alpacas just magically fall into place.  Our business name came from a clump of gnarled trees our children played in behind the cow barn while we were milking cows.  They called it their "Enchanted Forest".  You can see in in the lower right of the picture below.
